Women with disability are 40% more likely to experience domestic violence than their non-disabled counterparts. Rates are also significantly higher for sexual violence. If a woman does happen to be living with a disability, this violence can take on additional forms. It is essential that the needs of women with a disability are taken into account with regards to implementing changes to service delivery and funding decisions. Read more here.
